Travel visas from the UAE

UAE passport holders are visa-waived across the Schengen area, Turkey, Serbia and much of Asia and South America, and enter Oman and the GCC on ID cards. Residents travelling on other passports follow the destination's rules — every guide opens with the who-needs split.

The Schengen visa is issued by the country of your longest stay or main trip purpose. A Paris-anchored itinerary with a two-day side trip fits France; filing to France for a mostly-Italian trip is a classic refusal pattern.

Schengen visas share one harmonised fee — €90 adult, €45 for children 6–11, free under 6 — plus the VFS service fee in AED. The UK, US and Canada run their own fee schedules; e-visa and eTA tracks are paid online. Each page carries a dated fee table.

Schengen demand from the UAE peaks in December, spring holidays and summer; Greece peaks May–September. The application centre's calendar, not the consulate, is the bottleneck — file up to 6 months ahead for peak trips.
