How much bank balance do I need to show?
There is no fixed figure. Officers look for a balance consistent with your income and trip length, supported by three months of statements.
Why do Schengen applications get rejected?
The frequent reasons: purpose not convincingly documented, funds inconsistent with the stated itinerary, and applying to the wrong mission for the actual main destination. The refusal letter states the code — fix that gap before reapplying.
Does one refusal affect future applications?
A refusal is not a ban. What matters is whether the next file addresses the stated reason; applicants who correct it regularly receive multi-entry visas afterwards.
Do banking meetings need extra documents?
Bring the counterpart's correspondence — meeting confirmations from the fund or bank — alongside the standard file. It is the purpose anchor officers look for.
Can a Luxembourg trip anchor a multi-country Schengen file?
Only if it holds the longest stay. A one-day Luxembourg visit inside a France-heavy trip belongs in a French application.
