Indonesia visa from the UAE (2026)

Indonesia runs a Visa on Arrival scheme for more than 90 nationalities — UAE, Indian, Russian and most Western passports included — giving 30 days with one 30-day extension. The same visa can be bought in advance as an e-VOA on the official immigration portal, skipping the airport queue. Nationalities outside the list need a visit visa arranged through an Indonesian mission before travel.

Frequently asked questions

Do UAE citizens need a visa for Indonesia?

No advance visa is needed — UAE passport holders buy a Visa on Arrival for IDR 500,000, valid 30 days. The same visa can be arranged online as an e-VOA before departure.

Can the Indonesian VOA be extended?

Yes, once, by another 30 days, at a local immigration office before the stamp expires. A second extension is not possible — plan the trip within 60 days maximum.

I hold an Indian passport in Dubai — do I need a visa?

No advance visa: India is on the VOA/e-VOA list, so you buy the same 30-day entry. The online e-VOA option lets you skip the airport counter queue.

What is the Bali tourist levy?

Bali charges an extra IDR 150,000 levy for foreign visitors, paid online before or upon arrival. It is separate from the visa fee and applies only to Bali.

Which nationalities cannot use VOA?

A number of South Asian, African and Middle Eastern passports are outside the list and must obtain a visit visa from an Indonesian mission in advance. Check the official list before booking.
