Process

How it works

  1. Check your passport track

    Day 0

UAE and Russian passports go visa-free; other passports take the ASAN e-visa.

  2. Visa-free trip (UAE and Russian passports)

    -

Book flights and hotel; Baku is a short flight from Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

  3. ASAN e-visa application

About 3 working days (urgent: 3 hours)

Fill the form, pay, and receive the PDF by email; print it or keep it on your phone.

  4. Arrival

    Minutes at the border

Present the passport and e-visa printout at passport control; the visa is single-entry.

  5. Stay

    Within days of arrival

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Do UAE citizens need a visa for Azerbaijan?

No. UAE passports enter visa-free for stays of up to 90 days as of 2026, and Russian passports have the same right under a bilateral regime. Carry a valid passport and keep your return booking handy.

I live in Dubai on an Indian or Filipino passport — what do I need?

An ASAN e-visa from evisa.gov.az: one form, USD 25 plus a service charge, decision in about three working days. It allows a single entry and a stay of up to 30 days within 90 days of issue.

Can I get an e-visa urgently?

Yes. ASAN offers an expedited option issued within about 3 hours for a higher fee — useful for last-minute trips, though the standard track is cheap enough that planning ahead is easy.

Do I need registration in Azerbaijan?

Hotels register guests automatically. In private flats, stays beyond roughly 10 days must be registered with the State Migration Service, usually by the host. Keep the confirmation until departure.
