New corporate tax in 2023

Effective June 2023, the UAE’s new corporate tax will apply to businesses with profits of at least AED 375,000 per year – the tax will be 9%.
What is exempt from corporate tax in the UAE?
Corporate tax will not apply to:

• Salaries of working residents
• Activities of government entities (excluding business activities)
• Activities of qualified free zones
• Investment funds
• Pension funds
• Public organizations
• Personal income from bank deposits
• Exchange earnings
• Dividends
• Savings programs
