Russian pavilion opens at Expo 2020 in Dubai
The Russian Federation will host 60 business and cultural events during the exhibition.

The Russian pavilion at the World Expo in Dubai is one of the largest. Its main theme is “Creative Mind: Shaping the Future. Besides, the pavilion “will present the best Russian creative projects as well as a temporary exhibition of Russian regions.
The Russian pavilion today hosted the exhibition Russian Culture – Past, Present and Future.
The Russian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will not only showcase the scientific and cultural achievements of bygone eras but will also demonstrate how the creative mind can create the future for the benefit of mankind by introducing visitors to the latest achievements of Russian creativity.
The Russian pavilion is a dome-shaped space, the outer shell of which consists of numerous colourful strands. The architect of the pavilion was Sergey Choban. The pavilion will feature Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Tatarstan, Komi, Yakutia and the Caucasian Republics.
Guests will also enjoy lectures on Russian culture, chess tournaments, Russian language lessons and film screenings.
The mascot of the Russian pavilion is the heroes of the cartoon Fiksiki.
The year 2021 has been officially proclaimed by the United Nations as the International Year of the Creative Economy.
